This place is super legit Their Chicago style hotdog & ribs will not disappoint. This casual Murray Hill joint offers not only Hawaiian poké bowls but also, weirdly, a Chicago-style hot dog: Get a frank loaded with tomato, onion, Vienna sport peppers, pickles, dill relish, celery salt and mustard. For the namesake hoagie (which made Time Out's list of 100 Best Dishes this year), Windy City native Henry "Hank" Tibensky dips slow-roasted, thin-sliced beef in savory au jus and piles it onto soft rolls imported from a family friend’s bakery in Chicago. The classic Chicago-style Italian beef sandwich is the star of this Tribeca sub shop. The Shack-cago Dog is still available at the chain, loaded with Rick's Picks Shack relish, onion, cucumber, pickles, tomato, sport peppers, celery salt and mustard. It's hard to imagine it now but once upon a time, the New York burger titan was a wee little hot dog stand serving Chicago-style franks in Madison Square Park.
